FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I look for in an Inflatable (Bounce House/Moonwalk) rental company?

The following are several questions you should ask when shopping around for a Bounce House Company:

1. Is the company licensed and insured?

If so, ask them to provide you with a copy of their occupational license and insurance certificate. If not, know that you are putting yourself and children at risk in the event of an injury due to a product failure or incorrect setup, or damage to your property by the delivery crew.

2. Are the inflatables clean and sanitized?

Ask how often the inflatables are cleaned, and if they use a disinfectant for the surface areas, especially in the areas where little pairs of feet will bounce hundreds of times! For sanitary reasons, this should be done after every rental.

3. How do I know if the company will be on time for my child’s party?

Ask about their track record for on time deliveries, whether they have any delivery guarantees, and what confirmations you will receive to assure you that your inflatable will be delivered on time.

4. Does the company deliver safe, high quality inflatables made of lead free vinyl?

Ask them who makes the inflatable you are interested in, and if you can, take the time to do a Google search and check out the manufacturer’s website. Though not foolproof, it may ensure that you are getting a safe, commercial grade inflatable from a US based company, and not a poor quality Chinese knockoff or non-commercial inflatable.

5. How old is the inflatable I am renting?

As with all material that is exposed to the outdoor elements, inflatables will inevitably show signs of wear as they age, which will detract from the aesthetics and performance of the inflatable. The sun causes fading, vinyl can become discolored, and the units sometimes loose a little of their firmness or bounce as they age. If a company takes very good care of their inflatables with regular cleaning, they can look and perform like new for many years. Ask the company how old the inflatable is that you would like to rent. As a rule of thumb, unless you know the company well, it is advisable to rent inflatables that are less than 3-4 years old.

Frequently Asked Party Rental Questions

What if I lose power during my party?

If the inflatable’s continuous blower stops working, for any reason, immediately evacuate everyone from on or inside the unit. The most common problem is a tripped circuit breaker. If this is the problem, simply reset the circuit breaker and continue using the unit. If the circuit trips again, simply try another outlet. If the circuit breaker keeps tripping, or is not the issue, please call us at 262-853-5058

How many children can fit in the inflatable?

The number of children that can be in one of our inflatable at one time depends greatly on several factors. The size of the unit and age of the children are the two most important factors in determining how many children can safely have fun in our inflatable. As a rule of thumb, for a medium Jumper (13×13), it is recommended that no more than 8 young children or 6 older children use the inflatable at the same time. For Large Jumpers (15×15), it is recommended that no more than 10 young children, or 8 older children occupy the inflatable at the same time. All inflatables vary with size, so we ultimately recommend following the manufacturers guidelines posted on each inflatable. Note, for safety reasons, we strongly advise against mixing older and younger children in the bounce house at the same time.

Does the rental have to be setup on grass?

Our rentals work equally well on grass, pavement, concrete, asphalt, or even indoors. Just let us know at the time of the reservation, so we can bring the correct anchoring system when we deliver your inflatable. Inflatable’s setup on grass are anchored with long steel stakes, while inflatable’s setup on asphalt or indoors are anchored with sandbags.

How much power does the inflatable require?

Each inflatable typically uses one blower, which draws approximately 7-8 amps. This is roughly half of a typical 15 amp household circuit, or about 40% of a 20 amp circuit. Ideally, it is best to find an outlet where nothing else is plugged into that same electrical circuit. Many times, people assume that they have an outside outlet that nothing else is plugged into, so they should be OK. However, it is fairly common for all of your outdoor outlets to be on the same circuit as the outlets in your garage, where you may have a deep freezer or other appliances plugged in! It is best to identify a dedicated outlet/circuit in your home that is within 50 feet of the place you want to setup the inflatable, so you don’t have to worry about the Bounce House deflating when Grandma turns on the beaters to whip up the frosting!

How long is the rental for?

We find that most parties are between 4 and 6 hours, so we allow you to reserve your party rental up to 6 hrs, to ensure you have it for the entire length of your party. If your party is longer than that, please call our office to request additional time. We also offer overnight rentals and multiple day rentals for an additional charge.

How late can I keep the rental?

We prefer to pick up all inflatables prior to sunset, as it allows us to clean and inspect the inflatable in daylight, and also allows us to pick up the inflatable before dew sets on it. As the time of sunset varies throughout the year, so does our preferred pickup time! .  If your party is scheduled to go later, we sometimes have the option for an overnight rental which would be picked up the next morning. This option is not always available. Please call for more information.

Do you charge a delivery Fee?

Yes we do.  The delivery Fee not only covers the Gas and wear and tear on our vehicles, but it covers the time that it takes to set up all the equipment.  Almost all the equipment we carry is very heavy and requires more than one person.  Our deliver fee is $75 if your within a 35 mile radius, if further, there may be an additional charge.

Why can’t I come pick up the inflatable and set it up myself?

Safety is one of our top priorities. To keep you and your party guests as safe as possible, we need to ensure that the unit is set up to our specifications. Our crew is trained in the safe instillation and operation of our units.

What form of payment do you accept? When do I pay?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, Visa Check Cards, MasterCard check cards, cash, and money orders. A deposit will be taken at the time of the reservation with credit card or check card.   If you advise us during the reservation that you would like to pay the balance at the time of the delivery, please provide payment to our delivery team in the form of cash or money order. If paying by cash, we ask that you please provide exact payment so that our delivery crew does not have to make change.

Do you collect Sales Tax?

Yes, sales tax will be collected and will vary depending on what county the delivery occurs in.

How far in advance should I reserve for my party?

Party on Rentals  has a variety of selections of inflatables in the Milwaukee Area! However, like all rental companies, we have limited quantities of each. All of our rentals are first come, first served. The best way to ensure the widest selection possible for your party is to call and make a reservation as soon as possible!

Do you require a deposit?

Party on Rentals requires a deposit of $25 for each reservation. This ensures that the inflatable you have your heart set on is reserved for you! This deposit can be made with our reservation staff with Master Card, Visa, Master Card check card, or Visa check card.

What is your cancellation policy?

If for some reason you are unable to keep your reservation, other than weather issues, we give you the opportunity to reschedule it for a different time.  If for some reason another time doesn’t work, the only money you will lose is your deposit.  We are understanding, and we can determine sometimes on a case to case basis.  What are customers do have to understand is the fact that the time in which we were reserving the equipment for you, someone else lost the opportunity to be renting it because we had it on hold for you.   As a business, in order to stay in business, unfortuneately those are the things we have to do.

What if we anticipate rain or bad weather?

Some things are out of our control. The weather is one of them. If bad weather is in the forecast, we will assess the situation early in the morning on the day of your party. If the forecast is calling for heavy rain or thunder showers throughout the day, or wind conditions that exceed 25 mph, for safety reasons, we cannot deliver your inflatable, and will either reschedule (our preference) or refund you the entire amount paid to us (including deposit). We encourage you to keep the reservation, as rain will not hurt the inflatable, and the children can resume bouncing after the rain subsides and the inflatable is dried with a bath towel. If there is a good possibility that it will rain during your entire party time, and you are uncertain as to what to do – please call us to discuss. We are not weather experts, but can work with you to make the best decision, which might be to cancel for a refund, or we can sometimes shift delivery or pickup times to try to foil Mother Nature from stealing all of your joy! With Party On Rentals concurrence, if the weather is questionable and you decide to keep your reservation, once the delivery crew has setup the inflatable at your party location, even if it rains during your party, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund.

Do you bring extension cords?
Yes, Party On Rentals brings 50 ft of industrial extension cord to accommodate your preferred setup location and the best outlet to use. If you anticipate needing to locate the bounce house more than 50 ft from the electrical outlet, you will need to use a generator.

Can I have my party at a park?
Yes, There may be an extra charge for having your party at a park, due to insurance and time constraints associated with parties in parks.

Am I expected to tip the delivery people?

Our delivery team goes out of their way to make sure you have a great rental experience! As such, you may desire to give them a tip for their great service. This is greatly appreciated by our crew, as most are either students putting themselves through college, or dads trying to earn extra money on the weekend to provide for their family. However, please know that tips are not expected, so do not feel uncomfortable if you do not feel inclined to tip for whatever reason.
